About Us
Did you know that our homes consume 60% of the energy that individuals consume? And that 20-40% of that energy is wasted?
When we heard that we were shocked. So we set out to see how we could improve our homes. We wanted to save energy, help the planet and stop wasting money.
We felt all alone in our attempt to navigate the complicated world of energy efficiency and upgrades. We quickly learned that houses were not built very well. Dealing with specialty contractors eager to sell their specific product, we found that results simply did not live up to promises and expectations. More than anything, we learned that information is everything and it is possible to make huge improvements for not a lot of money if you just know where to find the low fruit.
In response to our experience, we launched Home Green Home to apply a holistic approach to home performance contracting that relies on building science, education and experience (rather than sales) to map the right path for our customers to achieve their goals .
Our experience in a wide range of home improvement technologies and contracting allows us to identify the best and most cost effective approach for our customers to get the most out of their home improvement dollar.
